Dill Seed
Dill weed and dill seed, from the same plant, are popular seasonings. Although the flavor is similar, dill seed is stronger and is therefore used in pickles and other strong-flavored dishes. Dill weed, which is more delicate, is used as a more subtle seasoning. Dill seed is useful for seasoning some vegetable dishes and to flavor soups, stews, cheese and egg dishes. A primary ingredient in pickling spice.
