Allspice the dried berry of an evergreen tree native to Central and South America has a flavor and aroma reminiscent of cinnamon cloves and nutmeg. Allspice is sometimes called Pimento berries. Allspice has a variety of uses including pickling cakes and other sweet goods chutneys and rice dishes. It is one of the flavoring ingredients in "Jerk" spice blends and marinades.

I'm glad I decided to order from Spices Etc. I haven't used this spice yet, but I can tell it is a quality product from the wonderful fragrance. The service was very good.

I am a permanent returning customer. The vanilla flavor and the coconut flavor are second to none. Marvelous. And recently, I purchased the allspice seasoning. It's equally impressive. These ingredients add a wonderful fullness and "pop" to my baked goods. My customers are happy and so am I.

I've only tasted this with my thumb and not yet used it to cook with; it has a clove like flavor and meets the bill for what this spice is suppose to be tho' it appears a bit dry.
