Ground Celery Seed. Ground Celery seed can be bitter if used to excess. Add equal parts ground celery seed and salt to make your own celery salt. Ground Celery seed is a versatile spice that is particularly suited to fish. Ground Celery Seed is the base of many seafood seasonings but is also good on vegetables, in soups and stews and to flavor tomato juice. Try a teaspoon in your favorite BBQ sauce!
