Savory is very fragrant with slight peppery taste. It is a staple in poultry seasonings. Summer savory is commonly used with fresh garden vegetables, to flavor fish, and in sausages and stuffings. Savory is wonderful when added to lentils. The flavor is strong enough that salt is not needed. It is an excellent addition to vegetable juices.
