Blue Moon(TM) Flavoring originated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the late 1940's and is still a regional Midwest favorite, this trademarked Flavor and Color system for ice cream applications, is a hit among children of all ages. It is truly a unique and unusual flavor being described as "fruity and almondy" by some, but.... officially, we say it has a "cherry citrusy, fruity-type flavor". Brightly colored blue, it has a unique place in the dipping store ice cream cabinet. Some creative customers have added cherries and marshmallows for a patriotic red, white and blue appearance ... others have added shredded coconut or color sprinkles.
