Ground red or Cayenne pepper is available in twe heat levels, a regular hot 30,000 hot units) and a super-hot variety which can be over 100K hot units. Ground Jalapeno pepper is a very hot variety, with a relative heat rating of about 60,000 hot units. Use this and all chile pepper products with caution. When packaging this product we use gloves and masks, but the dust still gets into the air and everyone sneezes for a while! Use ground Jalapeno to add heat and color to many dishes, including soups, dressings and marinades.

I've been a customer for about 15 years now. The only company I use for dried spices. Never disappointed.

I recently ran out of my Cayenne from Spices, Etc., and had to purchase some from the market. The difference was amazing! The cayenne from Spices, Etc., has wonderful depth of flavor and a deep color. The one from the market had no flavor and the color was weird. I will make sure I don't run out again.
